On July 4th I drove to Whitewater, WI to visit my aunt and uncle. I also took the opportunity to shoot the fireworks that Whitewater was doing that night. Take a look at the images and let me know what you think. Whitewater doesn’t have the impressive cityscape of New York or San Francisco, but I think they look pretty good.
This year ISAP had the annual symposium in Norfolk, VA May 17-19. We had some great speakers like Scott Kelby, Carolyn Wright, Rafael “RC” Concepcion, and many others. On Friday we had a field trip to NAS Oceana and then over to the Military Aviation Museum. The museum was having an air show that weekend, but unfortunately the weather just did not corporate for us. We did get some nice images of the WWII re-anacters that were camped there. On Sunday a group of us went back to the museum to give it another try, but this time we were rained out. If you enjoy shooting aviation photos you should check out ISAP and think about joining.
I had such a good time at the Dallas Zoo Safari/Workshop the previous weekend I went back again. On this Saturday Cathy Burkey, staff photographer, had Bob Malish from Canon and Earl Nottingham from Texas Parks and Wildlife on hand to answer questions and critque our images from the days shoot.
This past Saturday I went on a photo safari at the Dallas Zoo lead by Cathy Burkey and Jeremy Woodhouse. We had about 9 participants ranging in all levels of photography. We got some great access to some of the exhibits for photography.
